Political Christianity Update!

I haven't been very active on this blog in recent months. I've tried to dedicate myself towards making this blog and my other various projects successful. It will take some more time. Life tends to get in the way. I shall prevail and keep going nevertheless.

As I've done research for Political Christianity, the topic of homosexuality specifically has grabbed my attention. Why have Christians been so infatuated with homosexuality throughout the ages? What does the Bible actually have to say about being gay? Most importantly, why do Christians care if gay people exist or get married from a legal perspective? Why does the government's marriage license need to be exclusive to males and females? Why can't some Christians at least tolerate homosexuality from a legal standpoint but disagree over the spiritual aspect?

While homosexuality isn't directly related to the church and power, it is at the very least a side effect. Those who proclaim to worship Jesus and grab power want to impose their own view and interpretation of the Bible. Thus, homosexuality is often on the chopping block. Once one view makes it into the government and seizes power, many will follow that power and adhere to those beliefs. This is why homosexual marriages were barred in many states until 2015 in America.

This led me down a weird rabbit hole of investigating how certain churches and denominations view homosexual practices. Why do some churches believe gay marriage is wrong, and others have no issue with it? I examined eight denominations within the United States to understand the rationale for being either for or against homosexual marriages and relationships.
